After each film, I will post a discussion starter on this blog. For SIX of the films, you are required to read the posting and contribute a comment that responds to my prompt. For the other films, the film responses are optional, meaning you can replace the grade of a required response that you previously turned in on time (check the calendar to see which are required and which are optional). Zeros cannot be replaced. The comment you post must be two paragraphs of EQUAL length that together are at least 300 words long. Use Microsoft Word to check your word length.

Thinking About Film
This little "pamphlet" called "Thinking About Film," by Dean Duncan, is our only textbook this semester, at least the only one you have to buy. But it contains the essential ideas that I am hoping will impress your mind this semester
